For those doubtful cynics that believed that Billy Joe Saunders wasn’t actually injured, we’ve got the proof.
The WBO middleweight title fight between Saunders and champion Andy Lee has been postponed once more after the mandatory challenger suffered a cut to his forehead in training.
The date for Lee v Saunders had already been moved last month when the bout was delayed by three weeks and switched to Manchester from its original Thomond Park setting.
And now we await a new date for Andy Lee’s first official title defence after this gash above Saunders’ eye that required 10 stitches.

“It’s a pretty serious cut,” Lee said having seen video of it last night.
And he wasn’t lying.
