That was fun.
The Irish have arrived in Las Vegas and they are in fine voice. Mayweather vs. McGregor is drawing close and the party has already started.
The T-Mobile Arena was awash with Irish tricolours, GAA jerseys and milky-skinned compatriots of Conor McGregor. SportsJOE’s Darragh Murphy was at the Las Vegas arena and was not the only one taken aback by the scenes of sheer revelry and sonorous song:

There were flags claiming ‘We’re Not Here To Take Part, We’re Here To Take Over’, ‘You’ll Do F**kin’ Nothing’, ‘When One OF Us Go To War, We All Go To War’, and a brilliant tricolour with horse trainer Peter Casey grinning away. It read: ‘If McGregor knocks out that Mayweather fella, we’ll all have sex tonight and everything’.
McGregor is a true and true Dubliner but, judging by the accents that filled the arena and the colourful array of GAA jerseys, the entire nation is behind him.
Waterford, Westmeath, Limerick, Offaly, Mayo, Down, Donegal and more. The Irish were out in force.

One McGregor fan wore an absolutely class Dublin GAA training top that was the perfect choice for the 38-degree weather. The navy vest with blue and white accents is a real gem. His fellow Dub had the light blue version of the same top but his bum-bag took a bit away from it.
At present, only the light blue version of the vest top is available on the O’Neills website but it looks pretty class.
As for Dublin or Tyrone fans in Vegas eager to see their counties clash in the All-Ireland semi final, at Croke Park, both McMullans’ and Rí Ra will be showing the game live from 8am on Sunday morning.
With McGregor facing off against Mayweather around 9pm [Vegas time], it will take some staying power to catch up on that match without any sleep.
