It wasn’t just the mind games.
Sure, the mental warfare played some part in Tyson Fury’s ability to get the better of Wladimir Klitschko but, to be fair, Fury backed up everything he said he’d do.
Fury pushed the pace, never let Klitschko get going and is bringing some brand new belts back to Manchester because of it.
There may have been quite a few naysayers before the bout but one fighter who always backed Fury is WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee, who is Fury’s cousin.
And Limerick’s Lee was one of the first to congratulate the new WBA, IBF and WBO champion on his heroics in Germany.
