A game-changer if ever there was one.
Ireland completed their World T20 campaign in India today, and while both the boys in green and the Dutch were already out of the competition, there was still plenty of pride at stake.
Heavy rain delayed the start of the game, which was reduced to a rapid-fire six overs a side once the covers came off, and Ireland did a fine job restricting the Netherlands to 59 for five, with spinner George Dockrell delivering a sparkling three wickets for just seven runs.
Ireland made a bright start to their run chase, with Paul Stirling’s big hits helping them to 28 for one from their first two overs.
But things fell apart once Pieter Seelaar came up with this diving grab to remove Kevin O’Brien and prevent a boundary.

Stirling followed next ball, as the Dutch began to frustrate Ireland with some tight bowling and some brilliant soccer skills in the field as the Irish lost seven wickets for just 19 runs.
Ireland eventually ended up 13 runs short of their target of 60, a disappointing end to an abbreviated appearance on the world stage.
