It still counts.
22 headers and out.
The Ireland ladies cricket team are a talented bunch.
Give them a bat and ball and they’ll put us to shame in here.
Give them a football though? Well, they’d still put us to shame.
The girls of the national squad were unwinding after a bout of training with the classic header-bin challenge and it’s fair to say that they’re not half bad.
It’s not really any wonder when they had renowned footballer Mary Waldron leading the group in the middle of the changing room circle but, devastatingly, after 22 headers, she misses the bin by a whisker.
This is a great effort though and we admire the honesty.
But come back to us when you’re doing it with a cricket ball…
Thanks to Kim Garth for sending this our way.
The team’s efforts were even picked up by Sky Sports News HQ.
