Cycling’s coming home.
Ireland’s Dan Martin has won Tour de France Stage Six.
Three years after finishing second to Alexis Vuillermoz at Mûr-de-Bretagne, the UAE Team Emirates rider won the queen stage of Brittany ahead of another AG2R-La Mondiale, Pierre Latour, to score his second Tour de France stage win five years.

170 riders started Stage 6 but it was Martin who triumphed despite taking an almighty gamble to sprint for the front.
He had accelerated from 19 to 30km/h on a 10 per cent gradient and he went for it with a kilometre to go to the finish line.

After the race, Martin admitted that he had gone for it a bit early but it was a risk he felt that was worth taking.
Dream big and dare to fail.
