Your guide to a huge weekend of football, rugby and Formula 1 and how to stream it all

SportsJOE

Brought to you by NOW.

There is another massive weekend of sporting action coming up.

There is some great sport on this weekend, with five Premier League games and the first Old Firm derby of the season available to stream. There is also the F1 Dutch Grand Prix and two huge matches in the Rugby Championship.

Here is how to stream all of this weekend’s sporting action with a NOW Sports and Sports Extra Membership.

Friday, September 2.

Formula 1 is back this weekend with the Dutch Grand Prix, the 15th race of the season. World champion Max Verstappen returns to his home country and will be expected to finish on top of the podium.

The Red Bull driver is in excellent form and looks on course to retain his world title. Verstappen won the Belgian Grand Prix last week to extend his lead at the top of the driver’s standings.

Coverage of the Dutch Grand Prix takes place across the weekend, with the practice sessions on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the final race on Sunday afternoon. You can stream the weekend’s F1 with a NOW Sports Membership.

Saturday, September 3.

The Rugby Championship returns on Saturday morning, with New Zealand taking on Argentina in the fourth round of fixtures in the prestigious tournament.

The All Blacks will be desperate to beat Argentina after losing to Los Pumas last weekend in Christchurch. It was New Zealand’s first-ever defeat to Argentina on home soil. A second consecutive loss to their rivals would be a crisis for the All Blacks, who are under immense pressure and in danger of failing to defend the Rugby Championship.

You can stream New Zealand versus Argentina with a NOW Sports Membership. Kick-off is at 8:05 am Irish time.

The second Rugby Championship game of the weekend also takes place on Saturday morning as Australia host South Africa.

The Wallabies beat the world champions 25-17 last weekend. A victory in Sydney on Saturday would put Australia top of the table if New Zealand avoid defeat to Argentina.

You can stream Australia versus South Africa with a NOW Sports Membership. Kick-off is at 10:35 am Irish time.

The weekend’s football begins with two massive derby games. In the Premier League, Everton take on Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.

Jurgen Klopp’s side come into the game after beating Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield, a joint-record score for a Premier League match, and recording a late win over Newcastle.

Liverpool also won this fixture comfortably last season, running out 4-1 winners at Goodison Park, and they face a Toffees team still searching for their first win of the season.

You can stream Everton versus Liverpool with a NOW Sports Extra Membership. Kick-off is at 12:30 pm.

Meanwhile, in the Scottish Premiership, Celtic face Rangers in the first Old Firm derby of the season.

Scottish champions Celtic are two points ahead of their bitter rivals going into the match, but both sides are yet to lose in the league. Saturday’s game promises to be an intense derby match between two sides in top form.

You can stream Celtic versus Rangers with a NOW Sports Membership. Kick-off is at 12:30 pm.

Next up, Tottenham Hotspur face Fulham in the Premier League.

Spurs’ progress this season stalled with their 1-1 draw away to West Ham, but they will still be favourites for this weekend’s game. Fulham, however, are showing they are no pushovers and have gone toe to toe with sides such as Arsenal and Liverpool so far this season.

You can stream Spurs versus Fulham with a NOW Sports Extra Membership. Kick-off is at 3 pm.

In the final Premier League game of the day, Aston Villa host Manchester City.

Villa almost denied Man City the Premier League title on the last day of the season in May, but they would be pleased just to keep the score down this weekend.

Steven Gerrard’s side are in poor form and look set for a long, difficult campaign. Man City, meanwhile, are scoring for fun. Erling Haaland has scored an incredible nine goals in five games so far this season.

You can stream Aston Villa versus Man City with a NOW Sports Membership. Kick-off is at 5:30 pm.

Sunday, September 4.

Brighton take on Leicester City in the first of Sunday’s live Premier League games.

Brighton are in good form ahead of the game. The Seagulls have won three of their five matches so far and Graham Potter’s side could be an outside bet to finish in the European spots. Leicester, however, appear to be on a downward spiral after years of overachieving.

You can stream Brighton versus Leicester with a NOW Sports Membership. Kick-off is at 2 pm.

In the final Premier League game of the weekend, Manchester United host Arsenal.

This is one of the most famous fixtures in Premier League history, and Sunday’s tie should be a keenly fought encounter between two high-pressing sides who are seeking to return to former glories.

Arsenal come into the game as favourites following an excellent start to the season. Man United, meanwhile, are finding their feet after a terrible start to the campaign.

You can stream Man United versus Arsenal with a NOW Sports Membership. Kick-off is at 4:30 pm.

The Dutch Grand Prix also takes place on Sunday.

Verstappen won the race at Circuit Zandvoort last year and will be the favourite for this weekend’s edition.

The Dutch driver has won nine of the 14 races so far this season and has a commanding lead at the top of the driver’s standings as he closes in on retaining the world championship.

Coverage of the F1 Dutch Grand Prix starts at 2 pm on Sunday, and you can stream the race with a NOW Sports Membership.

Stream the biggest sporting moments with NOW including all the action from the Premier League, the Rugby Championship and F1.
