We love a good raffle

The following is very much for children of the 80’s who were reared on a diet of ‘Back To The Future’ and wishing that every Christmas you could get a hoverboard under the tree.

If you’re a big a nerd as us you’ll also know that in the second film of the famous and frankly brilliant franchise it’s foretold that the Chicago Cubs will win the World Series in 2015.

So in honour of the movie a museum in Illinois is offering the prize of a working DeLorean car with a flux capacitor to one lucky sonofagun if the Chicago Cubs DO win the World Series as predicted.

According to Volo Auto museum director Brian Grams, the car is not just an ornament but could be helping you do the shopping done in Tesco as well,

“The car is fully functional. It’s a running and driving car. Though we don’t guarantee time travel with the car, its flux capacitor and other board lights light up just like the movie’s car.”

The car is worth an estimated €100k and if you fancy owning a time machine-a frickin time machine-then you can enter online until the 21st of this month.

The Cubs are winless in baseball since 1908 of course and haven’t been in the World Series final since 1945 so the chances might be slim. But hey,if you’re not in you can’t win. And if they don’t win the title, whoever does get called out from the raffle will get a consolation prize. Of a hoverboard. Seriously.

According to Grams it’s only fair,

‘We keep the car, but the giveaway winner will win the museum’s hover board prop.’
