Johnny Manziel’s finding it tough in his first season in the NFL
Manziel has struggled to find form since becoming the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback. The former college football star might be crumbling under the pressure. There is a lot of hype around Johnny Football and perhaps that has hindered his performances so far.
He’s had a string of lacklustre performances for the Browns recently and against the Panthers earlier today, things got even worse for the young QB.
Manziel took a bone-crunching hit in second quarter from Panthers duo Luke Kuechly and Colin Jones. The tackle (or pair of tackles) were so forceful that it ruled him out of the rest of the game, meaning Brian Hoyer was forced to fill in. Before he left the game, Manziel had only completed a disappointing three of eight passes for 32 yards and rushed twice for a total of 3 yards. Yikes!
The Browns confirmed the injury on their official Twitter account soon after the incident occurred.
QB Johnny Manziel (hamstring) questionable to return.
