Monacan High School lost out on their shot at a state title with just seconds remaining when they abandoned their defence after blocking down a last-gasp field goal thinking they had done enough to win the game.
Guys, a blocked field goal is still live.
Lake Taylor knew that and, having missed the chance to win the game by a single point when they fluffed their field goal at 14-12 with under 10 seconds left, they watched the opposition take off in celebration so they just picked the ball up and crossed the end zone to make it 14-19 and five seconds on the clock.
The different cheers from both confused sets of fans is brilliant. So close.
