The NFL draft and CSI: Miami detective Horatio Caine have so much in common. They are both on TV, for a start.
The draft is of our favourite things each year, not just because it’s a new beginning for each of our NFL teams, but predominantly because we get to know a fresh crop of outstandingly named college prospects.
The annual combine – a one-stop-shop for teams to measure, interview and medically check up on all the potential draftees – kicks off in Indianapolis today and we’re already figuring out who will join the likes of Barkevious Mingo and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in the NFL’s Hall of Names.
