Eyebrows were obviously raised at NFL headquarters after Adam Vinatieri had the game of his life last night.
The Indianapolis Colts kicker nailed four field goals during his side’s 26-10 playoff victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, including one from 53 yards out.
And the man is in his forties.
Fair enough, being a kicker in the NFL isn’t the most trying thing on the body but when you’re 42 and still performing at the top level, it has to be applauded.
Well the NFL didn’t exactly applaud. They sent a request for a “random” drug test to Vinatieri.
Colts punter Pat McAfee revealed the request via his Twitter and hinted that he wasn’t too sure about the randomness of it.
When u’re closer to 60 than 20 & bang a 53 yarder 3/4 of the way up the upright..This type of thing is expected #GOAT pic.twitter.com/5fq2HtKqi5
