The Pittsburgh Steelers’ season is over after falling to a 23-16 defeat against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.

The Steelers put up a strong fight away from home despite being without their best player and only having a half-usable Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback.

With just 10 minutes to go in their AFC divisional round playoff game against the top-seeded Broncos, the Steelers held a slender 13-12 advantage until running back Fitzgerald Toussaint lost the ball on a routine running play.

Denver recovered the ball in the Pittsburgh half and went on to score a touchdown from the ensuing drive, giving them a lead that they held for the rest of the game.

Disgruntled Steelers fans quickly took to Twitter to share their anger but instead of directing it at Toussaint, it was instead aimed at the now-retired Isaac Redman, who hasn’t appeared in a Steelers uniform since the 2013 season.

Redman left the sport in the summer of 2014 after suffering an injury to his spinal cord.

But rather than feel let down that his so-called fans didn’t know the difference between him and another player who happened to have the same number Redman used to wear, he decided to educate his critics.
