St Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and one of ice hockey’s greatest ever teams are tipping their hat in our direction.
The Chicago Blackhawks will wear a specially designed green jersey ahead of their March 16 clash with the Philadelphia Flyers.
The St Patrick’s Day warm-up gear will then be autographed by each player and auctioned off online.
The auction will take place on NHL.com from 6pm to 8pm [March 16 at 12pm to 2am on March 17, Irish time]. All proceeds will be donated to charities associated with the 2015 Stanley Cup champions.
For those of you who happen to be reading this in Chicago, select numbers of the green kit will be available for purchase at the Blackhawks Store and at Michigan Avenue, Oakbrook and Old Orchard store locations.
