‘I have good memories of my time spent on the blue side and I know they will support me.’
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti believes that Everton fans will be supporting Los Blancos when they take on Liverpool in the Champions League final on Saturday.
The 62-year-old spent 18 months at Goodison Park before returning to Madrid for his second spell at the Bernabeu last summer.
Ancelotti looks back on his time at Everton fondly, and is confident that the Blues’ fans will be supporting the Italian and his team when they face off against the Reds in Paris.

“I know that the Evertonians support us tomorrow for sure,” Ancelotti said at his pre-match press conference in Paris.
“I have good memories of my time spent on the blue side and I know they will support me.”
Don Carlo, history maker
In November, Ancelotti appeared to aim a dig at the Toffees when he was asked whether he found it more difficult to manage Real Madrid or Everton.
“It’s better to have a Ferrari than a Fiat 500,” he replied.
The Italian will be appearing in his fifth Champions League final at the Stade de France, with no other manager having achieved this feat.
He has won three of his last four finals, with his only defeat coming against Liverpool with AC Milan in the 2005 clash in Istanbul.
Liverpool fans use speedboat to get to Paris
A group of Liverpool supporters used a speedboat to cross the channel ahead of the Champions League Final, doing so after an EasyJet flight to the capital was cancelled.
They successfully made it to Paris ahead of tonight’s final, with around 60,000 Liverpool fans expected in the French capital for the Reds’ clash with Madrid.
