First, it was the Guinness Pro 12, and then it looked like the Pro 14 would be announced with two South African sides set to be announced and now there’s a team leaving. This is confusing.
Just as we looked to have gained two South African sides in the Kings and the Cheetahs, it was reported that Zebre were set to leave.
In a statement released by the Italian Rugby Federation, they explaining that Zebre decided that they wanted to opt out of the league.
However, Zebre have taken to Twitter to respond to reports, claiming that they have simply restructured and will continue playing PRO12 games in Parma.
Zebre Rugby will retain their name and will play the @PRO12rugby in Parma. The club got back under the Union ownership with a new management
