Scotland’s anger is about to explode once again.
Scotland almost pulled off a Japan on Sunday afternoon and were just minutes away from beating Australia, when they were pinged for an offside that allowed Bernard Foley kick a match winning penalty.
The decision was incredibly marginal as John Welsh was penalized after a Scottish line-out malfunctioned terribly at such a crucial stage.
TV replays suggested the decision by referee Craig Joubert to penalise the Scot was incorrect, as Wallaby scrum-half Nick Phipps was the last man to play the ball before Welsh.
The whole incident prompted some Scottish fans to set up a petition to ban the South African official from ever refereeing a game again

And incredibly this evening World Rugby have issued a statement admitting that the decision at the end of the game, that cost Scotland the win, was the incorrect one.
World Rugby says Joubert got it wrong. "The appropriate decision should have been scrum to Australia for knock-on" http://t.co/3QtqwqsTkk

As if Scotland fans weren’t mad enough already, this may very well tip them over the edge.
