Topless tank.
It’s the European Champions Cup. It’s Clermont v Saracens. It’s 21-21 with less than 10 minutes remaining. Utterly nail-biting stuff at the Stade Marcel-Michelin.
So, hang on a minute, why is Vincent Koch running around with his shirt off?
That’s what everyone wanted to know during a particularly tense phase of play.
Saracens’ South African prop lost his shirt as the clock wound down on a bitterly cold Sunday afternoon in France. However, with play continuing, he decided against trying to get his shirt back on and got stuck right back into the action. Watch the clip below.
No shirt? No problem. 👀

Undeterred by suddenly being brutally exposed to the elements, Koch proceeded to land a thunderous challenge on Clermont flanker Peceli Yato.
What a tank. On a week when we’ve seen Premier League footballers cuddle up next to hot water bottles on the bench, you have to say fair play to Koch.
He retrieved his shirt, pulled it back on and was substituted off for Sean Maitland seconds later. What a way to exit the field of play.
Koch’s shirtless heroics couldn’t quite guide Saracens to victory, though, as Clermont clinched a dramatic 24-21 victory, with Scott Spedding kicking a late penalty to seal it for the French side.
