WATCH: Ruan Pienaar starts and finishes this incredible Ulster try

The South African scored 17 points

A painful reminder of what Ulster will be missing next season.

Ruan Pienaar made his long-awaited return from injury in Ulster’s comprehensive 37-17 victory over the Glasgow Warriors at the Kingspan Stadium.

Pienaar has been missing from the Ulster side in recent times, ever since he was removed from the field of play after suffering a knee injury in his side’s New Year’s Eve defeat to Leinster.

Within the time that Pienaar has been absent, the northern province have lost three games on the trot, further damaging their Pro12 position and leaving them without knockout European rugby.

Thankfully for Ulster, the 32-year-old, played an instrumental role in his side’s victory today.

Pienaar scored a total of 17 points which included this incredible second half try which was started and finished by the man himself.

Of course, unfortunately for Ulster fans and for fans who enjoy watching the talented scrum half strut his stuff on the pitch, the IRFU have decided not to allow the Springbok to continue playing his rugby in Ulster.

His recent comments about the situation makes you realise how difficult it must be for him and his family.

His incredible try today is a reminder of his talents and he will undoubtedly be a huge loss to the Irish rugby landscape.
