When there is silverware to be won, you leave nothing to chance. You give nothing away. You give off an aura.
That’s the idea anyway.
Munster were seeking their first trophy in six seasons at the Aviva Stadium, this evening, and their captain set the tone even more a ball was kicked. In fact, he set it the day before a ball was kicked.
Steely eyed. No messing about.
Scarlets captain John Barclay got the idea and he got another couple of doses before kick-off. First off, the handshake/stare-down:
Poor Nigel Owens looks awkward just being there.Next up, when both teams lined up beside each other in the tunnel.
O’Mahony’s look told the Scarlets boys everything they needed to know – Munster were here for the gold.
By God, O’Mahony looked amped beyond belief.

Munster hit the front after an early Tyler Bleyendaal penalty but it was Scarlets that well and truly showed up in the first half, with wingers Liam Williams and Steff Evans both touching down for tries.
