Tries from Francis Saili and Conor Oliver including points from the boot of Rory Scannell secured the victory but it was Saili's try in the 52nd minute that got Munster back in the game.
However, his task was made so much easier thanks to some catastrophic defending from former Munster and Ulster back-row, Nick Williams.
Munster had possession outside Cardiff's 22 and what is glaringly obvious is the huge gap which the home side's defence create at the fringe of the ruck.
Saili does excellently to spot this and races clear to score a try under the posts.
