Donncha O’Callaghan has revealed his favourite memory from his time playing for Ireland.
The Lock featured 94 times for his country, winning four Triple Crowns, and, in 2009, the Grand Slam.
You’d imagine being part of the team that won Ireland’s first Grand Slam in over 50 years, in dramatic circumstances with a win over Wales in Cardiff, would be the pinnacle of O’Callaghan’s illustrious career.
However, during an appearance on BT Sports’ show Rugby Tonight, the Cork native said that Ireland’s famous victory over England at Croke Park, in 2007, is the stand-out memory from his time in a green jersey.
