They’re not ready for David Pocock but they were never going to be.
The Wallabies back-row is two games into his Top League career, in Japan, and he is already bossing it.
[Un]fresh off a toiling Super Rugby and international season, Pocock must be enjoying the slightly less intense pace in Japan. That does not mean he is ratcheting down his own performance levels.
Pocock landed 15 bone-jarring tackles, made eight carries and was turning the ball over for fun. Here is one of the three he effected in Panasonic Wild Knights’ 45-17 victory over Ricoh Black Rams.

He was not finished there, as he made a superb, low tackle and turnover before haring down the pitch.
He also dished out a sublime offload to set up teammate Akihito Yamada’s 13th minute try.

Man of the match? No. It went to hat-trick hero Yamada.
There’s always next week. God help his opponents.
