He just continues to impress.
There is a lot of hype surrounding Joey Carbery at the moment and rightly so.
The young man continues to put in performances at the highest level which you would expect from a player of much more experience.
He’s done it for Ireland and he has done it Leinster.
The only downside to these impressive performances is that he is no longer an unknown quantity.
Teams will now target the influential playmaker as they look to negate his now known attacking qualities.
Ronan O’Gara said as much on the latest episode of SportsJOE Live.Â
O’Gara argued that Carbery will face his greatest challenge over the next 24 months as he is unlikely to have the freedom which has been given to him in recent times.
Carbery’s next test was in Saturday’s clash between Leinster and Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium.
Technically, it wasn’t the greatest of performances from either side but there were some definite highlights, which included Sean Cronin’s first half try.

In addition to this, there were some lovely moments from Carbery.
The highlight was this beautifully executed spiral kick into the corner.

It was a moment of class from the young out-half and you can’t help but think of one former 10 from Cork when you watch that footage.
