They want more to be done.

Munster CEO Ian Flanagan will step down from his role at the end of the month, after being in the job since 2019.

He had come under increased scrutiny over the last year, given the province's run of poor form since lifting the URC title in 2023.

He also oversaw a series of controversies, including head coach Graham Rowntree stepping down in the middle of the 2024/2025 season, and the hiring of back coach Roger Randle, who subsequently left soon after, due to historic sexual assault allegations.

The news comes soon after a revealing interview from former captain Peter O'Mahony, who lambasted the governing body of the club, and suggested that it had not been well run since Garrett Fitzgerald stepped down as CEO in 2019.

Munster fans reacted on social media, but are still not wholly pleased with the situation at the club.

On his departure, Flanagan said: "Leading my home province has been a huge privilege. I would like to thank the many people I have worked alongside during my time with Munster Rugby, including our volunteers, staff, sponsors, coaches and players. I would also like to thank our supporters for their unwavering commitment to Munster Rugby over many years. I wish the province every success in the future."
