When it comes to rugby, players should really stick to what they're genetically designed to do. There's a reason why forwards tend not to be good kickers and by the same token, you wouldn't want a scrawny scrum-half playing the role of a hooker in a scrum.
This clip really illustrates why props should not try kicks at goal. Check out how Sale prop Vadim Cobilas pounces on a loose ball during his side's Premiership clash with Bath and has a drop at goal. Unsurprisingly, it didn't quite come off.
