A bad night for Connacht just got worse.
After being defeated by Gloucester 14-7 at Kingsholm in the quarter final of the European Challenge Cup, it was announced by Sky Sports that full-back Mils Muliaina was arrested after the game.
Footage after the game showed Muliaina being led into a police van outside the ground, and it has since been confirmed by Gloucestershire Police.
A statement read: “A man in his 30s was arrested at Kingsholm Stadium tonight in relation to an alleged incident in Cardiff in March. It is a matter being dealt with by South Wales Police.”
Rob Murphy, an Irish journalist, was in Kingsholm, and repeated the statement from Police.

The Sky Sports cameras caught the All-Black legend leaving the stadium with police.
On Wednesday, the 34-year-old announced that he’d be leaving the province at the end of the season to join Italian side Zebre in the summer.
While Muliaina’s impact off the pitch has been praised by coach Pat Lam and his fellow players, he’s failed to make an impact on it, playing just 11 times in an injury hit time in Galway.
UPDATE:
This evening it’s been announced that the former World Cup winner with New Zealand has been released on bail by the police.
According to ITV Wales a statement from South Wales Police has confirmed that the Connacht player is no longer in police custody as further enquiries into the matter are ongoing,
“A 34-year-old man from the Galway area in the Republic of Ireland has been arrested on suspicion of committing a sexual assault. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
