Ben Jacobs must have been in an absolute jock this morning

Sam Burgess justified his astronomically high wages as his huge hits stole the show against Wasps

Wasps centre Ben Jacobs must have thought that Burgess had some sort of personal vendetta against him at the weekend. Jacobs fell victim to a pair of pelvis-shattering tackles in quick succession at the hands of Burgess.

The powerhouse English forward also got his name on the scoresheet, scoring his first try as a Bath player to secure an emphatic 39-26 victory over Wasps.

Bath have put in a huge investment into the former Rugby League player in order to secure his services. Burgess is reportedly banking a yearly wage of over £500,000 at the Aviva Premiership outfit, but the club will be more than happy to keep him on such a high salary if he continues to put such a devastating hurting on the opposition.
