Sometimes, there’s just nothing more important in the world than stopping a ball hitting the ground.
The ball boy at the Glasgow Sevens understands this and he respects it implicitly.
Sevens rugby is a brutally fast, intense game as it is but this little guy isn’t allowing for much of a rest either with his commitment to gathering up oval balls and getting them back in play as soon as possible.
He took his job so seriously at the weekend that he leaped into the air and tried an overhead catch from a conversion. His initial grasp wasn’t successful but, even as he fell to the ground, he kept his eye on the ball and gathered it up at the second time of asking.
Most importantly though, he didn’t let it drop.
Odell Beckham Jr would be proud of this one.
