VIDEO: Rugby league player pulls hamstring at full speed, teammate crashes into wooden post

It was all going so well.

Pure carnage.

Wigan Warriors were trouncing Wakefield, late in their league clash on Thursday, when they spurned a try-scoring chance for the ages.

Anthony Gelling was all set for a try before he pulled his hamstring, at full pace. Screaming in agony, he still had the forethought to fling a pass to his teammate, John Bateman, in support.

The ball took a wicked bounce forward and Bateman’s attempt to dot down resulted in a disastrous shoulder injury.

Who puts down wooden stakes right behind the in-goal area?
