Video: Irish team’s visit to Temple St Children’s hospital will turn your cold, black heart to mush

Great to see the Irish team give back

Ben Kiely

This really is very touching footage.

Joe Schmidt and the Irish rugby team took a break from their preparations for the upcoming match against Georgia to visit Dublin’s Temple St Children’s hospital yesterday. A host of Irish stars including Sean Cronin and Felix Jones joined their coach took some time off to give back to some of their biggest fans.

The players spent a good deal of time spending time with the sick children, their relatives and staff of the hospital and ensuring that everyone got the most out of the experience. As you can see from the video, it was all worth it for the huge smiles that washed over the patients’ faces when they met their sporting heroes.
