The New Zealander has been named in the Racing 92 squad for the Champions Cup game with Northampton Saints.
Ahead of his Racing debut, the €1m-a-season outhalf was taking part in a final training drill and perhaps thought he would get an easy ride.
Not so.
Tackle shield or not, Carter was not ready for this hit.
