Ulster know a thing or two about playing through the pain.
When promising Ulster centre Nevin Spence passed away in a tragic farm accident, in 2012, Munster Rugby stood beside their interprovincial rivals in their harrowing moments of grief and remembrance.
This evening, the people of Ulster repaid those kind thoughts, words and deeds by bellowing Fields of Athenry in memory of late Munster coach Anthony Foley.
Following an impeccably observed minutes’ silence before Ulster’s Champions Cup game with Exeter Chiefs, the match kicked off and the singing almost immediately followed.
