Relaxed on the eve of the eve of battle.
Robbie Henshaw will play his final game for Connacht Rugby, for now, against his new club, Leinster, in Saturday’s Guinness PRO12 final.
The 22-year-old has been one of the province’s best players since making his senior team breakthrough in 2012 but all good things must come to an end. Henshaw will be hoping to end that good thing with the greatest prize the province has ever captured.
Tiernan O’Halloran, who has superbly stepped in for Henshaw at fullback this season, has experienced the Athlone native’s rise first-hand for the past four years.
Last night, as the team arrived in Edinburgh, O’Halloran shared a couple of pictures that show how Henshaw has gone from a shy 18-year-old [with questionable socks] to a man entirely comfortable in his own skin.
Bit of a difference between my 1st time with my roomie @henshawrob and my last this weekend😂😂 #thosesocks pic.twitter.com/YqBd2WyEHJ

IRFU central contracts definitely include a few pairs of decent socks so we need not worry about Henshaw in that regard any more.
The standard of Connacht’s hotels seems to have shot up in four years too.
