Finally, some good news.
When former All Black Jerry Collins and his partner, Alana Madill, were killed in a car crash a few weeks ago, thoughts turned to their two-month-old daughter, Ayla, who was in a coma.
Thankfully, reports from Eurosport say the family have announced an improvement in her condition.
“She emerged from her induced coma approximately one week ago and, since that time, she has been monitored and examined for any negative impacts from the accident of June 5,” a family member said in a statement.
“We are still uncertain as to the extent of Ayla’s injuries and we ask people to continue to pray for Ayla during her recovery. Both our family and the Collins family are completely committed to Ayla’s healthcare being the priority at this time.”
The statement also added that Ayla has had an operation since the accident and that it was a success. Good thing that the she seems to have inherited her old man’s toughness, and hopefully she makes a full recovery.
