Ireland have never beaten the Springboks away from Dublin but the First Test against Allister Coetzee’s charges is seen as their best chance to make history.
Schmidt has selected as strong an XV as he believes possible, although many Connacht supporters would disagree with that. Nonetheless, the entire nation will be cheering them on come kick-off.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Iain Henderson went through the entire breakfast bounty on offer.
