Welsh full-back Liam Williams has been ruled out of the rest of the World Cup due to a foot injury.
The 24-year-old Scarlets winger had been the starting 15 for the Welsh since Leigh Halfpenny was forced to withdraw from the squad after suffering an injury in a warm-up match against Italy.
Williams along with Harlequins centre Jamie Roberts left the field in the closing stages of the 15-6 Pool A defeat by Australia.
The good news is that Roberts will recover from his head knock in time for the quarter-finals but Williams tournament has come to an end, according to the BBC.
Wiliams joins Hallam Amos, Corey Allen and his namesake Scott Williams on the list of Welsh players who were forced to withdraw from the squad due to injury during the World Cup. Wales were also down Halfpenny, Jonathan Davies and Ryhs Webb who were ruled out before the tournament kicked off.
