Good to see Stuart Hogg was up, moving and swapping jerseys after the final whistle.
Just about every person that saw the Scottish fullback clatter into Conor Murray’s raised elbow, during the Lions win over Crusaders, will have winced.
Hogg was chasing his own kick at full pelt when his left eye was met by the accidental elbow of a retreating Murray.
Hogg went off after 18 minuted and, with blood pouring and his eye already swelling up, he did not return.
Anthony Watson did a fine job as replacement fullback and, judging by the Instagram post of Hogg’s eye after the game, he may get another run out against Highlanders or the Maori All Blacks. Hogg won’t be playing midweek anyway but at least he could see the lighter side of his collision with Murray.
When he was finished making up with the Irish scrum-half, Hogg made his way to the Crusaders dressing room to swap jerseys with Crusaders fullback Israel Dagg.
The post with a smiling Dagg shows the full extent of Hogg’s damaged eye, and cheek.

Get some ice on that Stuart boy.
