One week old and we’re a little bit wiser as to how the 2016 Six Nations will play out.
The doom and gloom that surrounded Ireland’s injury-ravaged build up to the Championship has lifted somewhat following the blood and guts draw with Wales at the Aviva on Sunday.
Wales too will take heart from their display in battling back from 13-0 down and Warren Gatland’s men were a little unfortunate not to leave Dublin with all the points.
Eddie Jones’ English revolution may take some time, but there was enough in their display at Murrayfield to suggest that defence will be their strength, while in Paris Guy Noves’ France showed that the only thing consistent about the French is their inconsistency.
