Jennifer Malone and her mother, Donna are well-known and much-loved figures around the Irish rugby scene.
Top man, Robbie Henshaw.
Be it an Ireland camp at Carton House, away days at Twickenham or Cardiff, or Leinster going for another trophy, super-fan Jennifer Malone is always on-hand to lend her support, and get the lads in for a few snaps.
In 2018, at Twickenham, Peter O’Mahony acknowledged Jennifer’s steadfast support when he presented her with his Six Nations winners’ medal, moments after the country’s third ever Grand Slam was secured.
When Baz & Andrew’s House of Rugby did shows in Belfast and Dublin this year, the Malones were there and soaking up every rugby story or bit of craic.
This weekend, at Celtic Park in Glasgow, Jennifer and Donna were in the crowd as Leinster defeated Glasgow Warriors to retain their Guinness PRO14 title. Like the rest of us in attendance, they were treated to a nervy encounter and a match that started with two sides having a dart before reverting to ram-rodding each other in the final quarter.
Leinster emerged as victors and, after the match, Robbie Henshaw – one of their defensive talismen – told TG4:
“It was an incredibly tough game, the conditions made it quite tricky to play in. We didn’t get to run too much ball, but it was quite an entertaining game for the fans and a great game to be involved in.”
Standing alongside Rob Kearney when he told the broadcaster he might play on through next season, Henshaw joked, “Noooo!”
Then it was around the ‘Paradise’ pitch on a victory lap. Along the way, Henshaw spotted Jennifer Malone and proceeded to take his match-day boots off before presenting them to her.
What a moment!@leinsterrugby super fan Jennifer Malone gets Robbie Henshaw’s boots and gives him a big hug in return. 💙💙💙#PRO14Final #GuinnessPRO14 pic.twitter.com/K7D7QofWZn

Great moments for all Leinster fans that made the trip over to the home of Celtic Football Club, and another lovely momento for Jennifer.
