Players from these countries will bank a LOT of cash should they lift the Rugby World Cup

Cash money.

When rugby players line out at international level, you would like to think it’s a love for their country that motivates them, but if that wasn’t enough, some unions have added a sweetener ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

International players usually get paid a match fee after every test but there are some big bonuses on offer for whoever lifts the World Cup.

Wales Online are also reporting that Welsh players will get €138,000 each if Sam Warburton ends up lifting the Webb Ellis trophy. Unfortunately, the potential win bonus for the Irish team hasn’t been divulged, which is surprising given that the IRFU will almost certainly have to pay it out.
