Say it ain’t so John
Connacht Rugby is coming to terms tonight with the loss of one of its greatest weapons in terrifying opposition players.
It is with great regret that SportsJOE brings you the news that John Muldoon’s ‘Viking’ beard is no more.
The backrow revealed his new-look this evening and it’s fair to say that a great pall of sadness has swept across the west with the news.
Previously John’s beard had been blamed for being a curse on Connacht, but the Ballinasloe native has been in fantastic form for Pat Lam’s side this season so no obvious reason for the shock decision is clear as of yet.
It seems that Roy Keane now does truly own the best beard in Irish sport.
The news of the demise of John’s beard was revealed on Connacht’s twitter page earlier this evening:
Our captain fantastic @JohnMuldoon8 has ditched the beard that we all knew and loved #RIPbeard #NewYearNewMul pic.twitter.com/p6UGvgLG0p
