After a four-year break, the IRFU welcome Luke Fitzgerald back to the starting team with a classic picture
Two years after his last appearance in green, and four years since his last start, it is great to see Luke Fitzgerald back in an Irish Test starting line up.
Overcoming a number of horrific injuries must have been very hard to take for the Leinster man so when he runs out at Murrayfield the 27-year-old will surely have the support of every Irish rugby fan.
Of course, Fitzgerald was a fan himself once, as this picture posted by the IRFU today shows. Judging by the hair on BOD we’re guessing 2003-ish for this shot of the young Fitzgerald with two Irish rugby legends.
We’re sure Fitzgerald is delighted that the IRFU have shared this with the world.
