Back with the best.
Munster were within one bad result of making it into this season’s Champions Cup. This evening, they are in the quarter finals and hungry for more.
Rassie Erasmus’ men battled then dazzled their way to a 14-12 victory over Glasgow Warriors. Beat Racing 92 at Thomond Park next Saturday and they will have a home quarter final in April to look forward to.
Having trailed for long periods of an ill-tempered game, Munster were understandably ecstatic at the final whistle.
Those jubilant scenes carried on into the post-match dressing room.
Sky Sports caught a superb glimpse of the post-match scenes and there was this odd yet endearing clip of Peter O’Mahony calling out fellow back-row CJ Stander for a quick kiss.
Former Munster flanker Alan Quinlan joked, “Well, if they lost Peter might have been giving CJ a kick up the backside for a few of those penalties he gave away.”
Tough love in Munster.
