The 29-year-old was expected to return for the home tie with Ospreys but, when his name did not feature in the squad, a club spokesperson said La Rochelle was his likely return. L'Equipe has reported, today, that Sexton may not return until mid February after advice from a Paris-based neurologist.
When contacted today, the same spokesperson confirmed Sexton would 'at least' miss La Rochelle and refused to speculate on possible returns against Toulouse (December 28) or Bordeaux (January 3).
