Conor Murray has been the first name on the Irish team sheet for quite some while now.
Murray has grown into his role at scrum-half and the Autumn Series last year only further proved that he is Ireland’s most important player or at least very close to it.
Murray’s box kicks have been key to the Lions causing New Zealand trouble in this Test series and he was phenomenal against the All Blacks on Saturday.
The Munster Man scored the all-important try in the second half that essentially levelling up the scores and it was his fourth try against New Zealand in total.
Think about that, it’s frightening really. Four tries against the best team in the world.
Well, Murray’s record against the side was made even more impressive when a feat was highlighted by the official statistician for the British and Irish Lions, Stuart Farmer.
Conor Murray has now become the first northern hemisphere player ever to have scored FOUR career tries in tests against the @AllBlacks.

In simple terms, they target him because they can’t stop him.
