Munster outhalf Johnny Holland turns 25 on Tuesday.
But, unfortunately, that young age could be the one at which the talented prospect is forced to hang up his kicking boots for good.
After a number of composed performances towards the tail end of last season, Holland was expected to start in the No. 10 role for the start of the coming campaign.

But a report in the Irish Independent quotes a Munster source that claims Holland’s professional career is in jeopardy due to an ongoing hamstring issue.
The Corkman badly tore his hamstring two years ago and although it hampered his progress through the ranks, he rallied and impressed to the point that he was favoured over Ian Keatley for Munster’s crunch clash with Leinster in April.
But a persistence of the injury has forced Holland to consult medical advice and, unfortunately, the initial results are not promising.
Sources close to the player indicated to SportsJOE that Holland is indeed considering retirement and that a decision will be made in the coming days.
