The Kerry teenager wrote and spoke poignantly on embracing life and opportunities despite his lengthy battles with cancer.
Walsh passed away in May 2013 but his Live Life legacy shines on. The foundation created in his honour aims to assist in his other causes of providing age appropriate teenage facilities in hospital and hospice care centres.
Next Friday, the day before Munster take on Connacht at Thomond Park, will see the southern province get behind a fundraiser for the foundation.
Two years ago, Olive Foley [wife of Munster coach Anthony] came up with the concept of players giving the jerseys off their own backs to raise money.
Players duly obliged and players such as Paul O’Connell, Peter O’Mahony and Conor Murray donated used, and unused, jerseys, shorts, socks, training gear and more.
Munster Rugby fans then bid on the donated gear and all money goes to the foundation.
The third installment of the fundraising drive will take place at The Dugout Bar, at Thomond Park, from 1pm on Friday, November 27.
