Leinster will be looking to inject some much-needed momentum to their season after getting back in the win column last weekend against Ulster, and Leo Cullen will be delighted to see several members of his squad recover from injuries in time to face Glasgow.
Both Johnny Sexton and Richardt Strauss are fit for selection on Saturday, with Sexton recovering from a blow to the back and Strauss emerging from the concussion protocols following his head injury suffered against Wasps a fortnight ago.
The province are also hopeful that Rob Kearney, who was a late withdrawal from the 8-3 triumph over Ulster, will be available after his hamstring problems.
However, Sean O’Brien is unlikely to play after being diagnosed with an inner ear issue following his progression through return to play protocols. O’Brien also shipped a blow to the head against Wasps but has been having issues with his balance. The Carlow man did train today on a limited basis and will be ‘assessed on an ongoing basis’, according to Leinster.
Noel Reid and Luke McGrath are also out of the squad for the visit to Scotstoun – McGrath has a medial strain but remains in contention for the following week’s last chance Champions Cup game against Toulon, while Reid is potentially facing a longer spell on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage.
