Leo Cullen refused to be drawn on speculation linking Leinster with Robbie Henshaw.
The Ireland centre confirmed last week his intention to leave Connacht at the end of the season.
With Munster coach Anthony Foley already ruling the province out of contention for the 22 year old, Leinster appeared his most likely destination.
However, Cullen, while complimenting the player, refused to be drawn on the speculation.
“Look it’s old news really that he was gone from Connacht so wherever he’s going to go the best of luck to him,” the Leinster head coach said.
“He’s been a good player for Ireland and a stalwart for Connacht for the period of time he’s been there so it’s interesting to hear that that’s been announced.”“I don’t know (where he’s going). It’s not my news so not something I want to be a part of.”
“He’s shown with Connacht and with Ireland over the last couple of years that he’s a very exciting prospect so, whoever does get him, I’m sure will be delighted,” Cullen told 98fm on Monday.
